1 Angelina Jolie's right leg is followed by 10,000 on Twitter

Angelina Jolie was presenting the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay when she stood with one hand on her hip and a bent right knee thrust out through the slit of her Versace gown, replicating a similar pose she had struck earlier on the red carpet.

Angelina Jolie's right leg

The striking stance was immediately copied by The Descendants screenplay writers Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, as they took to the stage to receive the award from Jolie. At the same time, Jolie became a popular topic on Twitter as users rushed to comment on her appearance.

Soon after, the Twitter account Angies Right Leg was set up, tweeting "Look at me!". Later it added "Still here. Great view, but thank god for the slit in this dress" and "You have to admit I'm one hell of a leg". The account currently has over 10,000 followers.

A similar account, JLosNipple, had earlier been set up after Jennifer Lopez's reported wardrobe malfunction as she walked the red carpet in a revealing sequined dress. JLosNipple later tweeted AngiesRightLeg - currently the only account that the latter is following - saying: "You're lucky you're TV friendly....and have Brad Pitt. Sigh, life of a boob."

Some sources had been reporting that The Descendants writers' pose was an attempt to mock Jolie, but Nat Faxon denied this was the case: "I had just seen her pose and thought it was bold and fun. And you know what? We have exactly the same legs! Really, it was a loving tribute and nothing but."

0 Mechanised umbrellas for traffic cops this summer

The traffic cops in the city would soon get the cover of umbrella, a hands free umbrella to be precise, to protect them from blazing sun while they man the Bhopal city traffic. The traffic cops are exposed to the sun during the long working hours in summers in absence of a canopy at almost all the traffic junctions.

The government has already placed and order for 100 such umbrellas. White in colour, the specially designed umbrella for the traffic cops would weigh around a kilogram and will cost Rs 1500 per piece. They are expected to be delivered by the month end, sources informed

Such umbrellas are already being used successfully by traffic constables in Kolkata.

The umbrellas have been designed keeping a traffic cop's work at the busy traffic intersections in mind which require nonstop hand action. Instead of the cops holding the umbrella with its handle, it would be strapped on their waist with the help of a belt. The umbrella would go up from the back and will cover the top. Its operation would be mechanized.

The colour of the umbrella would be white instead of the traditional black colour.

The deputy superintendent of police MS Chhari said "The idea is to save the cops from heat stroke in long summer working hours.

As a majority of intersections in city do not have any cover for the policeman, it gets tough for them to control the traffic standing out in open in soaring mercury. Even officials cannot press them much to work in such harsh conditions hence a decision of introducing well designed umbrellas has been taken this time", he added.

Officials said if they serve the purpose, the same would be provided to the traffic cops in other cities as well.

A traffic cop is directly exposed to dust, sun and smoke. More than 30% of them have being suffering with breathing and vision related problems. Health check-up camps are also organised on regular intervals.

2 Information about Livestock and Animal Cooling

We all know how physically taxing the heat and humidity of summer can be, especially in the hot southern states. For businesses in the agricultural sector, it is critically important to consider how to go about combating the heat in a safe and cost effective manner. If you are in the business of raising livestock and you are concerned about the comfort and well being of your animals, our livestock cooling fans can provide your animals with the relief they deserve. As a responsible farmer, it is important to recognize that animals have a very low tolerance for heat stress.

Livestock and Animal Cooling

Livestock cooling is a critical component of any animal husbandry operation. While 80 degrees might be uncomfortable for humans, cattle cannot handle such temperatures and are at risk of heat stroke and death. In conditions such as this, it is important to monitor your animals for signs of heat exhaustion. Heavy panting and an open mouth are sure signs of heat stress in cattle. In fact, cattle are more sensitive to increases in relative humidity than chickens or pigs. Our livestock cooling systems provide the animal and livestock cooling solution recommended by the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department at Iowa State University; one of America's leading research centers in animal science.

At some point, you are likely going to encounter the need to transport your animals. For this reason, we have added a number of portable livestock cooling fans to our inventory of products. These portable evaporative cooling fans are especially popular with horse breeders and cattle ranchers; the success of these businesses is dependent on their ability to transport their animals to market. Portable livestock cooling fans help to ensure that the animals are protected from the effects of extreme heat while in transit. In the summer heat, humidity and ambient temperatures combine to create conditions that are nothing short of unbearable for your animals.

0 Misting Systems: Choosing the Right Misting System

Imagine a nice, breezy, cool summer day. The sun is bright, the grass is a luscious green, and the temperature is just right to spend some quality time outside.

mist system

While this is an ideal summer afternoon, it certainly does not describe a typical one. Most of the time, you're going to have days that are 90 degrees and higher, making your central air conditioning indispensable. But what about the kids? It's tough to send them outside when the weather is so incredibly hot. Still, it would be nice to get them out of your hair.

A mist system may be your savior. A high pressure mist system can cool outdoor temperatures up to 30 degrees, meaning a long and comfortable day outside for the kids -- and yourself. They can decrease dust levels that come along with the summer months, as well as odors that can arise. That will allow you and the kids a lot more quality time in the sun. Summer just became a lot more bearable.

The system is simple and is easy to have installed. It contains nylon, copper, or stainless steel pipes, a few spray and a pump. The pump forces water drawn from your home through the tubes, and is expelled through the nozzles. It's really as simple as that. You'll be enjoying all of the benefits of a mist system in no time.

Though water is being sprayed, it feels like a cool breeze passing across your skin. There is no damp or wet feeling with high pressure mist systems. That's because the high pressure pump allows water to leave thein drops that are smaller in diameter than a human hair.

0 Spot Cooling System Information

It's a bright, beautiful summer day -- the perfect time to mow the lawn, work on your garden, or just lay out and enjoy the rays. Problem is, the heat is so unbearable that you can only enjoy these activities for a short period of time. It is uncomfortable to begin with, and prolonged exposure can be painful -- even harmful. It's a shame to see those summer months go to waste while you stay in your comfortable, air conditioned house.

Spot Cooling System

One solution would be to install a mist system in your backyard. That keeps temperatures cool and allows you to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities, no matter what the temperature. However, those systems can run expensive. If your use of such a system would be limited, perhaps a spot cooling system is the answer.

Instead of covering a broad area (backyard, patio, garden, etc.), a spot cooling system isolates the cooled area. This means that you can be cooled while enjoying the sun, without wasting extra energy by cooling your entire patio.

Small offices can also benefit greatly from spot cooling systems. Air conditioning systems are expensive and not environmentally friendly. They also severely dry out the air, which is uncomfortable for many employees. Not only are spot cooling systems more comfortable, but they are much more cost effective, saving businesses hundreds on energy costs during the summer months. It will keep productivity up, while other offices fall behind because of heat-induced fatigue. In that sense, a spot cooling may eventually pay for it self in results.

1 Patio Misters: What to Know about Patio Misting

Summer is the time of sun, fireworks, and, of course, backyard parties. You've got everything set: the grill is clean and has a new propane tank, there are plenty of deck chairs, the pool is clean and filtered, and you have an umbrella or two to keep people shaded.

Patio Misters

The last thing you want at one of these parties is for it to be so hot outside that people go right from the pool (if the water isn't too warm) to the living room, where they can lounge in the air conditioning. Summer parties were meant to be held outdoors, so what can you do to ensure that yours ends up that way?

Patio misting systems can provide the answer you're looking for. Using a high pressure pump, these systems can reduce the outside temperature by about 30 degrees. That means a more comfortable and enjoyable environment for you and your guests. Even if the pool is a bit too warm, the party can still be held outdoors -- with no complaints about the weather.

Your guests will also marvel at the benefits of a patio misting system, beyond the crisp, cool temperature. It maintains an ideal moisture level, so you'll never hear complaints of it being too humid or too dry. They also reduce dust, pollen, and other debris that fills the air, so even guests with allergies will be able to enjoy the party.

Once turned on, the pump takes water from your house's water line and pumps it through a series of tubes. Those tubes are dotted with a number of nozzles that release the water in microscopic droplets. The smaller the droplets, the less they feel like water and the more they feel like cool air. The droplets decrease in size when the pump is of a higher pressure.

Even a less expensive, lower pressure patio water mister for your backyard can make your party comfortable. They can lower the temperature by 10 degrees, turning a nearly unbearable 95-degree day into a pleasant 85-degree one. They droplets will be a bit larger and will feel more like water when they hit the skin, but in hot weather, that can be refreshing.

0 What to Know about Industrial Spot Cooling Systems

Working indoors in the summer months is painful. Not only because you can't enjoy the wonderful weather outside, but because even with air conditioning, some offices can become hot and stuffy, creating a less than ideal working environment. Even with air conditioners, the air can become overly dry, causing cracked skin and lips. It also doesn't make for a nice feeling when you finally do get outside.
Industrial Spot Cooling Systems

An industrial spot cooling system will keep workers cool and refreshed, right at their desks -- at a fraction of the cost of an air conditioning unit. Workers will stay productive, despite the weather, which makes an industrial spot cooler an investment in results. And all with just a few high pressure pumps and a water line.

But what about industries that don't have the benefit of an office? Industrial spot coolers can help just about any industry. For repairmen working with boilers and furnaces, warehouse workers, firemen, and metal workers, the season doesn't matter. It is always blazing hot, and highly uncomfortable. The heat not only creates discomfort, but also makes for an unsafe work environment: heat stress is a major issue, and affects thousands of Americans.

Using an industrial spot cooler can reduce temperatures by 20 to 30 degrees, without drastically increasing the humidity level. This means that more time can be spent in traditionally hot environments, like in a furnace room, without discomforting heat. More work done means a boost to the bottom line that competitors won't have.

Office managers will be glad to know that even though industrial spot coolers use water to reduce the temperature, machines and people are safe from getting wet. When the pump moves water through the system's nozzles, it flash evaporates. Cooling fans spread the evaporated mist, which is what makes the air cooler.
