When a blurry snap shot of a baby’s eyes goes viral on the web, one can understand the curiosity surrounding the child. So it could be that Aishwarya Rai has been fervently protecting her baby from the blinding strobelights of the hawkish paparazzi, lest the little one is scared.

Warding off the suggestion that they are being overprotective about Aaradhya, Abhishek recently said that he doesn’t want to “show off” his daughter to the world.

“I am not comfortable with that, I don't need to show her off. She is not an item that she has to be put up to display. She is a child and Aishwarya and I would like her to grow up as normal as possible. I do understand that her parents and grandparents (Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan) are public figures but she is not yet and let her enjoy that. I have grown up in this industry and have been in this position so I understand the curiosity,” Abhishek Bachchan told reporters.

And even as the world has yet to see the first full glimpse of Aaradhya, grandpa Amitabh Bachchan is enjoying playing with the little one.

“Ever realized playing with the 'little one' for just a few minutes could be equivalent to an entire two hour workout in the gym! Child is the father of man,” Big B recently wrote on his blog.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan are ready to fly to walk in the red carpet in Cannes.

A source very close to the actress has confirmed about her attendance to the Cannes. While talking to a daily, the close source said Aishwarya is surely attending the Cannes this year. He said there are high probabilities of Aaradhya Bachchan accompanying Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya Rai has been attending the Cannes festival for many times as the representative of a popular cosmetic brand. Talking to a daily, Snehhal Chitneni, the company’s communications manager of the popular cosmetic product confirmed the news. He said Aishwarya is scheduled to grace the festival and she too has confirmed her visit. This year, in fact, the actress will have a greater role to perform as the company’s brand ambassador.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has already graced the Cannes Film Festival for 11 times. All the times, she has attended the festival with Abishek or alone. But, for this time there is an addition. The new mother would be accompanied by Aaradhya, her 6-months-old daughter.

The sources could not confirm whether Abhishek is accompanying her or not. But, the source is very sure Aishwarya would not travel without Aaradhya.

Other celebrities who are scheduled to attend the festival are Arjun Rampal with his wife Mehr Jessia and Anurag Kashyap. Sonam Kapoor is expected to grace the event.

Director’s Fortnight is a non-competitive segment at the festival; however gangster drama Gangs of Wasseypur will have its world premiere.

0 Will Baby B debut in the Oprah Winfrey show?

Ever since Aishwarya Rai delivered a daughter in November 2011, speculations are rife about her name. While recently, there were rumours that Baby B was named Aaradhya, there were no confirmations either from her father Abhishek Bachchan nor her legendary grandfather, the Twitter-happy Amitabh Bachchan.

But according to a report by a Chicago-based journalist Jennifer Hopfinger, who runs a site called The Bollywood Ticket, the baby daughter of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan may be introduced to the world this weekend, with her name being revealed on Oprah Winfrey's newest show, Oprah's Next Chapter.

It can be recalled that Oprah traveled to India for the first time a few months ago to shoot an episode about the country. The international talk-show queen, who met up with quite a few Bollywood A-listers including Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, also visited the Bachchan family home during her stay in Mumbai.

She was gifted an orange sari by Aishwarya, while the latter was also featured in a teaser promo for Oprah’s new show. Moreover, Ash has been a guest on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ twice, first in 2005 and then in 2009 with her husband Abhishek.

So far the Bachchans have been extremely discreet about Beti B. No one, apart from their close friends knows what she looks like. In fact, such has been the interest about the little one that she has grown into a brand herself! But is this latest rumour just that – a rumour – or will she actually make her debut on an international chat show, remains to be seen!
